After the Encounter Conference of 2024  I started my Year 1 application and enrollment.  Raquel and I kept in touch by phone weekly as I attended Year 1.  At the time Raquel was attending Year 2.  Towards the end of her 2nd year of Encounter Raquel asked me to keep in prayer the ministry that God had placed on her heart.  This ministry was Daughter of the King.  God gave her the title of His ministry, and the Holy Spirit dictated to Raquel word for word the ministry objective and material subject matter.  

After completion of Year 1 we met in-person again at the 2025 Encounter conference.  During August of 2025 with the healing that I had experienced as a Year 1 Encounter student and the deep friendship that the Lord allowed to flourish with Raquel I was able to unearth, unpack and discuss a wound that had been buried deep within me.  I had briefly outlined or skirted the details of this wound during a previous retreat with my confessor but not in detail like the Holy Spirit allowed me to with Raquel.  I remember viewing a video of Fr. Mathias’ where he spoke about how we had to bring our wounds out into the light where they could be healed and not allow them to remain in the dark (with you know who).  The combination of both my Year 1 of Encounter studies and the gifts and graces that God had planted and Encounter ministries had activated in my sister Raquel allowed me the space to bring this major wound of childhood molestation out into the light.  This wound is no longer my jailer, Praise God!!!  I was able to recount what happened, not as a victim but as a survivor.  May God be forever Praised!!!!

Now we are in March of 2026 and guess who is attending the 9 week Daughter of the King online Ministry?  Yours truly.  Daughter of the King (D.O.K) is a fruit of the labor of love that is Encounter Ministries.  Raquel Hanic said yes to God and was obedient.  The  Daughter of the King Ministry is a nine week online guided intimate journey where up to 10 women meet to pray in community, and bring to light week by week the wounds we have in different areas of our life to be healed by Jesus.  This intimate setting allows for boldness, courage, strength, and healing of the woman.  This ministry allows a safe space to openly discuss the messiness in our lives where there is no judgment, and turns our gaze and hearts to the Father.  Of course, Daughter of the King also references biblical scripture where we can hear Gods prompts.  I was once again able to unearth other wounds that had been buried deep within.  I have also been extremely fortunate to have witnessed God’s grace and love working in others.  Other participants of Daughter of the King shared some serious wounds that had not been addressed and that God wanted to be healed.  

I wanted to take the time to share both this fruit of Fr Mathias’ and Patrick’s labor of love, and their YES to God.  I also wanted to thank them and all of the staff because without your YES we would not be growing bolder in our faith as well.  I also felt strongly compelled to share this fruit of love with you because it is through testimony that we continue to remain strong and persistent in this battle.
